SANY Used Excavator Prices and Thailand Import Guide: 274 in Stock, DDP Bangkok Reference Prices
SANY is the single largest excavator brand listed on ASEAN Used Machine: of 1,278 excavators on the platform, 274 are SANY units currently in stock. The DDP-to-Bangkok landed reference price sits at a median of about 1,027,000 THB, spanning roughly 292,000 to 9,425,000 THB across the full size range from compact to large machines. Listed units are concentrated in model years 2016 to 2026, with a median of about 4,800 operating hours. Note that every figure above is a “DDP-to-Bangkok landed reference price,” meant to help you frame a budget quickly; the platform works on a quote-to-order basis rather than fixed pricing, so each machine is ultimately priced individually and confirmed only after it passes inspection.
Looking at what is in stock, SANY's popular models form a clear tier structure. On the compact end, the SY60C has 29 units and the SY75C 28 units, suited to space-constrained work such as urban construction, municipal pipe networks, and landscaping. In the medium class, the SY205C has 28 units and the SY215C 18 units, the undisputed backbone of earthmoving work. Beyond those, the SY135C has 16 units and the SY245H 12 units, filling the compact-to-medium transition and the medium-to-large heavy-digging segments respectively. More units of a given model means a richer pool of comparable samples, giving you more reference points during inspection and negotiation.
By machine size, prices fall into three simple tiers. Compact machines such as the SY60C and SY75C carry the lowest unit prices and move in and out of sites easily, making them ideal for municipal work, renovation and demolition, and tight job sites; they account for most of the lower end of the reference-price range. Medium machines like the SY205C and SY215C are the mainstay of earthworks, roads, and infrastructure, with high purchase volumes and an active secondhand market, so their prices tend to cluster near the median. Large machines carry higher tonnage and stronger specifications, with unit prices reaching the multi-million-baht upper end of the range, typically serving mining and large-scale earth-and-rock operations. Nailing down your working conditions and tonnage needs first, then matching them to the reference-price band, is the most effective first step in controlling your budget.
Before importing into Thailand, clear up a widely misunderstood point: the "10 years" is not an import ban but a tariff tier under Thailand's BOI (Board of Investment) Announcement 6/2558 — machines under 5 years old can receive an import-duty exemption and count toward the investment value, those 5 to 10 years old import and operate normally (without counting toward investment value), and machines over 10 years can still be imported, only without the duty exemption and with a machine performance certificate required. So model year mainly affects duty relief and paperwork, not whether a machine can enter at all. Among the SANY units currently listed, 146 are within 5 years old (2021 or newer) and 116 fall in the 5-to-10-year bracket (2017 to 2020) — both sit in the smoothest, most mainstream import range. If you buy through a BOI channel, the newer sub-5-year machines often work out more cost-effective on a total-cost basis.
So why is the 5-to-10-year bracket so often seen as the value sweet spot? First, price: the added age brings unit costs well below those of sub-5-year machines, so the same budget buys more tonnage or a higher specification. Second, usability: SANY excavators have a mature design and widely shared parts, and most machines in this bracket are still in their stable service life, with a median of about 4,800 hours leaving ample headroom for most applications. Third, smooth paperwork: 5-to-10-year machines are fully within the normal import range and clear customs just as easily as sub-5-year units — they simply don't count toward BOI investment value. If you are not using BOI duty relief and care most about landed unit price, the 5-to-10-year bracket is often the sweet spot balancing budget and working needs; if you are using BOI and prioritize residual value and a long service life, the sub-5-year bracket deserves first look.
Finally, the deal itself and the trust behind it. ASEAN Used Machine is a neutral matchmaking platform: it holds no stock of its own and takes no side, simply connecting the right machine with the right buyer. Every landed machine can be inspected in person at the 4,000-square-meter Bangkok showroom, and a deal closes only after the machine passes acceptance, avoiding the risk of “buying from photos.” Because the final price is set per machine and governed by inspection results, we suggest you first settle on your model, tonnage, age bracket, and budget range, then start an inquiry through the platform; we will match available stock accordingly and provide a landed reference price along with next steps. That way you lock in compliance (inside the 10-year line) while spending your budget on exactly the right unit.
