Used Shantui SD16 Bulldozer Price: 22 Units, THB 845,000–2,275,000 DDP Bangkok

As of September 2026 we have 22 used Shantui SD16 bulldozers in stock, quoted DDP Bangkok from THB 845,000 to THB 2,275,000, with a median of THB 1,300,000 (about CNY 200,000). The spread is driven by machine age and variant (standard vs wetland), not by brand premium — all 22 are the same SD16 platform.

Age moves the budget most, and the break point lands exactly on Thailand's BOI exemption line. Under BOI Announcement 6/2558, units under 5 years old (2021 and newer) qualify for import duty exemption and count toward investment value; our four 2021–2022 units carry a median DDP of THB 2,168,000. The 5–10 year band (2017–2020, 14 units) has a median of THB 1,300,000 — meaning BOI exemption eligibility costs roughly 67% more on the machine itself. Four 2016 units sit right on the 10-year line at a median of THB 994,000, but they get no exemption and need a machine performance certificate. The practical rule: if you are not a BOI enterprise, the 5–10 year band is the best value.

The second variable is the variant. Twelve standard SD16 units have a median of THB 1,258,000; the six SD16L wetland and four SD16TL mechanical super-wetland units together median THB 1,472,500 — about 17% more. Wetland versions run markedly wider track shoes to cut ground pressure, which suits rubber and oil palm plantations, paddy conversion and soft ground in the rainy season. If your site is firm ground, road building or a quarry, the standard setup does the job for less. That gap is over THB 200,000 in real money, so confirm your ground conditions before paying the wetland premium.

On specs, the SD16 is a 160 hp class crawler dozer: roughly 120 kW rated power, about 17 t operating weight, straight-tilt blade of around 4.5 m³ capacity. Its engineering lineage traces back to the Komatsu D65, and the installed population across Southeast Asia is large, so parts are easy to source — for a used machine that matters more than the spec sheet, because a dozer nobody in Thailand can repair is not a bargain. If you need more push, the SD22 (220 hp class) is the step up; we have 6 in stock at a median DDP of THB 1,638,000.

At equal age, operating hours decide your running cost. Median across these 22 units is 5,900 h, ranging from 1,600 to 17,941 h. On the SD16 the undercarriage — track shoes, rollers, chains — is the main wear item, so budget any machine past 10,000 h as 'likely needs one undercarriage overhaul after arrival'. Our two cheapest 2016 units sit at 16,000 h and 17,941 h; that is not hidden information, as every listing shows year of manufacture, operating hours and actual photos (median 20 per unit).

We quote DDP only: the figure includes China inland haulage, export clearance, ocean freight, Thai customs clearance, duties and taxes, and inland delivery to your site — one landed number. China-origin crawler dozers under HS 8429.11 generally enter Thailand at zero import duty with a valid ACFTA Form E, while 7% VAT applies on the landed value; we carry and handle all of it inside the DDP price. For a quote on a specific unit, tell us your ground conditions, budget band and whether you are a BOI enterprise, and we will shortlist 2–3 of these 22 with year, hours and photos.
